About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own and improve agent workflows powering the product pipeline from customer request through prioritisation, specification, engineering handoff and release
  • Write prompts, reusable skills and scheduled jobs, review AI output against ground truth, and decide what remains automated versus human-led
  • Partner with design to critique interfaces, sketch or prototype ideas, and maintain a high bar for interaction and visual quality
  • Read APIs, query data, understand the data model, and reason about technical trade-offs with engineers
  • Write precise specifications and maintain a prioritised Linear backlog with user stories, acceptance criteria and requirements
  • Prioritise roadmap options using revenue, churn, at-risk deals, support volume, regional metrics, strategic fit and competitive position
  • Write product blurbs, announcements and help articles that explain shipped capabilities in plain language
  • Run refinement, planning and reviews; keep delivery unblocked and make in-the-moment scoping decisions
  • Gather and synthesise customer feedback through support conversations, user testing and direct customer contact
  • Track adoption, engagement, retention and feature-flag rollout state to guide future product decisions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Ability to write production-grade prompts, reusable agent skills and scheduled jobs
  • Deep working knowledge of agents, agentic software, AI-native workflows and AI’s impact on product craft
  • Ability to verify AI output against ground truth and identify incorrect model results
  • Demonstrated experience designing and running agent workflows or automations
  • Strong, articulable opinions on UI spacing, hierarchy, copy and interaction
  • Ability to sketch, wireframe or prototype product ideas
  • Shipped interface work for which the candidate was personally accountable
  • Ability to give and receive direct design critique
  • Technical background, such as computer science or engineering education, development, QA engineering, data analysis, solutions engineering, technical business analysis or demonstrable self-taught experience
  • Ability to independently answer data questions
  • Ability to read and reason about APIs, integrations and system architecture
  • Proven ability to manage time across competing priorities autonomously
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects or product areas
  • Bias to action and ability to unblock work and close loops
  • Outstanding written English
  • Ability to communicate verbally with customers, engineers and executives and translate confidently in both directions
  • Completion of a written exercise and verbal discussion, including designing an agent workflow, critiquing an interface and presenting a view on AI and product craft
  • Roughly 2–4 years owning product outcomes is a guide, not a gate
  • B2B SaaS exposure is valuable
  • Bonus experience in care, health, disability or workforce management
  • Bonus hands-on experience with Figma, Linear, GitHub, LaunchDarkly or HubSpot

Benefits
