About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Directly lead and manage a team of pharmacy technicians responsible for end-to-end prior authorization and financial assistance processes
- Monitor service levels, conduct audits, manage workflows, review productivity metrics, and provide ongoing feedback and performance management
- Oversee daily operations, including scheduling, timekeeping, workload distribution, and coverage planning
- Partner with hospital stakeholders, clinical teams, and internal departments
- Lead meetings, communicate updates, and present opportunities for operational improvement
- Support hiring, onboarding, training, and professional development initiatives
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance while supporting remote and onsite team members
- Travel up to 20% as needed to support business and operational needs
- Analyze team performance, run and interpret reports, identify trends, and communicate results to leadership and stakeholders
Requirements
What you’ll need- Registered pharmacy technician in the state of employment
- Nationally certified as a CPhT
- Required 3+ years of pharmacy technician experience
- Leadership experience within healthcare or pharmacy
- High school diploma or GED required
- Strong executive presence and relationship-building ability
- Ability to navigate complex situations, exercise sound judgment, and achieve outcomes through collaboration
- Ability to identify operational trends and recommend process improvements
- Strong project management skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with pharmacy dispensing systems and EMRs
- Exceptional written, verbal, and phone communication skills
- Solid computer skills, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, internet, and web-based platforms
- Data entry and computer skills subject to pre-employment assessment
- Willingness to travel up to 20%
