• Research and develop advanced state estimation and navigation algorithms to ensure assured Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) in contested environments.
• Design, write, and deploy production-quality C++ software for aviation platforms requiring real-time, deterministic performance.
• Build and maintain comprehensive unit, integration, and system-level tests to validate navigation software performance under operational constraints.
• Develop modeling, calibration, and simulation tools for inertial and aided navigation technologies used in airborne platforms.
• Participate in agile-based product planning, feature definition, capacity estimation, and cross-team collaboration.
• Contribute to ongoing system performance evaluation, regression analysis, and V&V (Verification and Validation) efforts.

Autonomy Engineer, Navigation

Application Engineer

• Become an expert user of the Hivemind enterprise software stack.
• Provide technical support and training to customers.
• Develop AI & Autonomy applications using the Shield AI enterprise software development kit.
• Assist the sales team in pre-sales activities, e.g., demos.
• Assist in post-sales deployment and integration of Shield AI enterprise software products.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and training materials.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Help customers debug software/API integration issues.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to address customer feedback and improve products.
• Conduct minimal travel (~10%) to other Shield AI sites for demos, team offsites, etc.

Staff Applications Engineer – Autonomy

Manager

• Responsible for the preparation, negotiation, and management of contracts to ensure compliance with federal regulations and company policies.
• Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and other agreements to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Administer government contracts, including monitoring performance, ensuring compliance, and managing modifications or amendments.
• Analyze contract terms and conditions to identify risks and recommend mitigating strategies.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for contractual matters with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting and documentation of contract-related activities.
• Collaborate with legal, finance, and project teams to address contractual issues and resolve disputes.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, ITAR, and other applicable regulations.
• Support proposal development, including preparing relevant contract documentation and other supporting documents necessary for submitting a compliant proposal.
• Maintain organized records of all contract-related documentation.

Contracts Manager

• Create PCB layouts for complex digital, analog, RF, high-speed, and power electronics designs.
• Plan and manage PCB stack-ups in collaboration with fabrication vendors and manufacturing engineers.
• Partner with electrical engineers to interpret schematics, routing rules, and design intent.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers to ensure proper board form factor integration, connector positioning, placement constraints.
• Apply best practices for signal integrity, power integrity, grounding, impedance control, and thermal/EMI mitigation.
• Conduct design reviews and implement feedback to ensure manufacturability, reliability, and compliance with company standards.
• Generate and maintain manufacturing documentation, including Gerber/ODB++ files, fabrication and assembly notes and drawings.
• Work with manufacturing engineering to ensure designs meet supplier DFM requirements.
