About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Partner with account teams to lead technical discovery and assess customer environments, identifying infrastructure needs and transformation opportunities
Design, present, and refine tailored infrastructure solutions aligned with customer business goals, technical requirements, and financial considerations
Own the technical pre-sales lifecycle for assigned opportunities, including solution design, validation, and customer presentations
Build and maintain strategic relationships with OEMs and technology partners
Advise customers and IT leadership on technology strategy and modernization
Lead technical enablement and training initiatives for sales teams
Drive pipeline growth by identifying, qualifying, and advancing solution opportunities
Develop and deliver solution presentations, demos, and technical workshops
Mentor junior Solutions Engineers
Collaborate with services, engineering, and delivery teams to ensure solution feasibility and successful handoff

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong hands-on experience with data center infrastructure, including hybrid cloud, virtualization, and modern compute/storage platforms
Advanced knowledge of hypervisors, Docker, Kubernetes, and software-defined data centers
Ability to design and position solutions across Data Center, AWS/Azure Cloud, Networking, and Security domains
Experience with Dell, HPE, Cisco, NetApp, Pure Storage, VMware, Nutanix, Veeam, and public cloud platforms
Understanding of disaster recovery, business continuity, and high availability architectures
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value propositions
Experience supporting pre-sales environments, solution demos, POCs, and technical validations
Completed Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience required
5+ years of experience in a similar role
Ability to travel to SHI, partner, and customer events
Advanced certification in mainstream technologies preferred
