About the role
- Manage and coordinate day-to-day People Operations activities including recruiting, onboarding, benefits, compliance, performance management, and employee engagement
- Serve as the first point of contact for employees on HR-related matters, escalating as needed
- Maintain and improve our HR systems and tools, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Partner with the SVP of Operations on policy implementation and process improvements
- Help develop and implement learning and development initiatives that support employee growth
- Handle sensitive employee matters with discretion and professionalism
- Report to the SVP of Operations and contribute to initiatives that strengthen culture, such as learning and development and team offsites
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional experience in People Operations/HR, ideally in startups or high-growth company
- Demonstrated success supporting and improving HR programs in remote or distributed teams
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and compliance
- Experience with HRIS and people management platforms; tech-savvy and quick to adopt new tools
- A “roll up your sleeves” mindset—flexible, proactive, and comfortable shifting between day-to-day execution and project support
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on empathy, confidentiality, and integrity
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving, and entrepreneurial environment
