About the role

  • Perform electrical engineering studies, including power factor analysis, harmonic modeling, grounding analysis, short-circuits, protective device coordination, and arc-flash studies.
  • Provide engineering-related design, analysis, and studies.
  • Design and troubleshoot protective relaying and controls.
  • Occasionally work with the Field Services team on shutdown, startup, installation, and maintenance projects.
  • Interact with customers to gather critical information, review engineering plans, and maintain professional relationships.
  • Be hands-on with the engineering and field service group.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with a graduation date on or before December 2025.
  • Prefer candidates with an educational focus in Power Systems studies.
  • Willingness to be hands-on and work in the field alongside our field technicians.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience using SKM, ETAP, ASPEN, EasyPower, or other power system modeling software is a plus.
  • Must be able to clearly communicate in English via verbal and written methods.
  • Knowledge or high level understanding of performing protective relay projects, short-circuit, protective device coordination, arc-flash, and power quality studies is a plus.
  • Utility design experience is a plus.
