About the role
- Perform electrical engineering studies, including power factor analysis, harmonic modeling, grounding analysis, short-circuits, protective device coordination, and arc-flash studies.
- Provide engineering-related design, analysis, and studies.
- Design and troubleshoot protective relaying and controls.
- Occasionally work with the Field Services team on shutdown, startup, installation, and maintenance projects.
- Interact with customers to gather critical information, review engineering plans, and maintain professional relationships.
- Be hands-on with the engineering and field service group.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with a graduation date on or before December 2025.
- Prefer candidates with an educational focus in Power Systems studies.
- Willingness to be hands-on and work in the field alongside our field technicians.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Experience using SKM, ETAP, ASPEN, EasyPower, or other power system modeling software is a plus.
- Must be able to clearly communicate in English via verbal and written methods.
- Knowledge or high level understanding of performing protective relay projects, short-circuit, protective device coordination, arc-flash, and power quality studies is a plus.
- Utility design experience is a plus.
