About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Remanufacture, overhaul, rebuild, retrofit, troubleshoot, test, service, repair, teardown and assembly of breakers, contactors, panels, switchgear and electrical apparatus, including but not limited to: Low, medium and high voltage circuit breakers, including but not limited to manufactures such as GE, Westinghouse, Powell, ABB, ITE, Eaton etc.
  • Low, medium and high voltage switchgear
  • Low, medium and high voltage panels, MCC’s, contactors, electrical apparatus and components
  • General housekeeping duties including but not limited to sweeping, organizing, inventorying and maintaining workspace, breaker shop designated area and related assets.
  • Develop hands-on experience and proficiency through on-the-job and training and experience.
  • Perform all duties to a level of competency expected of a Breaker Shop Technician.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum high school diploma required
  • Background in a relatable trade such as Mechanic, Electrician and/or Industrial Mechanic is considered an asset
  • Experience in manufacturing, production assembly/disassembly is considered an asset
  • Industrial safety training and certifications are considered an asset
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal)
  • Valid driver's license and clean abstract required
  • Willingness to travel for out-of-town projects as required
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to safety
