About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and support the development of junior engineering staff
  • Plan and deliver electrical engineering projects for industrial and utility clients
  • Perform power system studies (short-circuit, coordination, arc flash, load flow, grounding, harmonics)
  • Design and integrate protection and control systems (e.g., SEL, GE, Siemens, Schneider)
  • Develop and review electrical drawings (SLDs, schematics, wiring diagrams)
  • Design and modify electrical distribution systems (switchgear, MCCs, transformers, relays, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues with practical solutions
  • Support commissioning, inspections, and field data collection as required
  • Prepare technical proposals, estimates, and client documentation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Saskatchewan or eligible for registration
  • 10+ years of overall experience, including a minimum of 5+ years of experience obtained after earning P.Eng. designation, in relevant power systems engineering.
  • Experience with power system analysis tools (e.g., ETAP, SKM, EasyPower) is an asset
  • Familiarity with protection relays and substation/automation systems is an asset
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
