About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities across Power Systems Engineering services & solutions
  • Proactively prospect and penetrate new accounts within key markets, including pharmaceuticals, utilities, and industrial sectors
  • Build and maintain a robust, self-generated pipeline of opportunities across the Northeast
  • Engage engineering, operations, and capital project stakeholders to uncover needs and position Shermco solutions
  • Drive opportunities across services including: Lead technical sales efforts, including scope definition, solution development, and proposal strategy
  • Partner closely with engineering teams to translate client challenges into executable project scopes
  • Support site visits, technical discussions, and pre-project planning to advance deals
  • Collaborate with sales leadership on forecasting, pipeline visibility, and growth strategy
  • Represent Shermco in the market through industry events, networking, and targeted outreach

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10+ years of experience in business development or technical sales within power systems
  • Proven track record of generating new business and closing complex technical deals
  • Strong understanding and comprehensive knowledge of Switchgear & MCCs, Circuit breakers, Protective relays, Power system studies, Power systems engineering concepts & solutions
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or related technical discipline; equivalent experience considered
  • Working knowledge of low, medium, and high voltage power systems
  • Ability to translate technical challenges into scoped solutions and compelling value propositions
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
