Key responsibilities & impact

ensuring the effective delivery of all technical and operational training across Heathrow’s Engineering teams, overseeing planning, scheduling and quality assurance.
leading a team, the role drives high performance, ensures compliance with regulatory standards, and manages partnerships with internal stakeholders and external providers.
monitors training outcomes, mitigates risks, and maintains training facilities - ensuring colleagues are fully competent to support a safe and compliant airport environment.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven experience managing training delivery within a regulated or safety‑critical environment, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
Strong knowledge of fire, health and safety legislation, with the ability to monitor, analyse and act on compliance data.
Experience managing third‑party training providers, including contracts, performance and quality assurance.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, able to influence across operational and specialist teams.
Strong organisational, planning and data‑driven decision‑making skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Ideally, you’ll also have:
Professional Qualification in the area of technical training delivery (eg FHS / Eng / Sec etc)
Professional qualification in training delivery (L3AET etc)
Professional Quality Assurance qualification
