About the role

  • The National Sales Manager is responsible for building strong customer and stakeholder relationships
  • Driving revenue growth, converting leads, and ensuring overall customer satisfaction
  • Works collaboratively with the Sales leadership team and cross-functional partners to support strategic initiatives
  • Expected to exercise sound discretion and independent judgment in the performance of essential job duties
  • Collaboratively plan and execute the sales process through discovery, consultation, and engagements
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director to implement and follow a plan to solicit new business
  • Maintain current knowledge about industry developments, competitors, and market trends
  • Grow booked business by 10% on an annual basis
  • Cultivate relationships and secure business with event organizers of trade shows, conventions, and corporate meetings
  • Target business with a value of five-hundred thousand dollars or greater
  • Achieve and maintain annual sales revenue of four million or greater
  • Represent Shepard at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote brand awareness and generate leads
  • Collaborate with Sales leadership to develop and deliver professional proposals and presentations

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6+ years of sales experience.
  • Minimum of 6+ years of industry experience.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Self-motivated with a strong drive to achieve and exceed goals.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
  • Possess strong business and financial acumen.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems such as Salesforce.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; relevant experience may be substituted for formal education.
