Join our innovative team as a Shaw Marketplace Sales Associate, where your passion for marketing and sales will play a pivotal role in driving success within a vibrant, high-volume commercial sales environment.
Proactively engage with both internal and external customers across a defined multi-state territory, utilizing targeted marketing initiatives to promote and sell our diverse range of Contract soft and hard surface products, and turf inventory.
Operate within high-demand sales areas, focusing on achieving or surpassing annual performance metrics, including Inventory Turn, Return on Full Standard Cost, Accounts Billed, CARP Expenses, Phone Utilization, and Web Site Usage.
Handle special projects and assignments as directed by the department manager.
Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to build brand awareness and drive sales of our Contract soft and hard surface products, and turf.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers, effectively negotiating and selling our full range of products while ensuring maximum return on investment and meeting inventory turn goals.
Leverage marketing tools such as QlikView/Tableau, Salesforce.com and contact lists to identify and develop a robust customer base.
Promote the Shaw Marketplace website and its offerings to our dealer network, creating marketing materials and resources that assist dealers in maximizing their sales potential.
Travel to various markets, dealer locations, and warehouse sales events to foster trust and promote the Shaw Marketplace brand.
Guide customers and Territory Managers through the order entry process, which includes sampling, stock checks, pricing, and order entry, ensuring follow-through until delivery.
Efficiently manage your workload to meet individual and departmental targets as established by management, while also assisting walk-in customers as necessary.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or higher preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of sales experience, with a strong emphasis on marketing strategies.
Willingness to travel to seasonal markets, with stays typically ranging from 2 to 4 days; occasional overnight travel to customer locations or Shaw facilities may be required.
Proficient in understanding spreadsheets and performing high school-level math, with strong analytical skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Professional communication skills via telephone, email, and in-person interactions.
Ability to distinguish and identify colors accurately.
Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time.
Must be able to perform light to moderate lifting.
Preferred Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, OneDrive, PowerPoint).
Competence in Excel, MS Word, Shaw Online Live, Shaw Now, and Glink/Vista.
Familiarity with Shaw’s order-entry system is advantageous.
Understanding the Shaw Marketplace website is a plus.
Knowledge of the manufacturing processes for any of the following; carpet tile, turf, broadloom, and/or resilient products.
