About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Collaborate with design and cross-functional team members to develop CMF concepts aligned with product design goals and brand identity
Research emerging trends in color, material, and finish design
Create mood boards, color palettes, material samples, and finish samples for stakeholders
Work with suppliers and manufacturers to source and evaluate materials and finishes for feasibility and cost-effectiveness
Generate detailed CMF specifications and documentation for production implementation
Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on CMF aspects of product designs
Support prototype and sample development to validate and refine CMF concepts
Maintain organized records of CMF samples, materials, and finishes
Monitor advancements in materials, color theory, and manufacturing technologies

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree required in Industrial Design, Interaction Design, or related discipline
1-3 years of experience in color, material, and finish design, preferably in consumer electronics
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, KeyShot, and SolidWorks
Strong understanding of color theory, trend forecasts, and manufacturing processes
Strong analytical thinking leading to creative solutions and innovative ideas
Detail-oriented with a strong sense of aesthetics and craftsmanship
Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate design concepts and rationale
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Strong team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills
Portfolio showcasing relevant CMF design work and process documentation required
