About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Facilitate decision-making and approval of projects
Collaborate with divisional project managers to align project management processes and identify project stakeholders
Define project scope and objectives with stakeholders
Create and maintain project documentation using project management software
Manage staff, contractors, and vendors alongside project budgets and timelines
Define roles, responsibilities, work breakdown structures, milestones, and deliverables
Develop budgets and identify sources of project funds
Document and monitor risks and assumptions
Define and manage project priorities and changes
Monitor project activities against scope, budgets, and timelines
Produce regular status and escalation reports for stakeholders
Conduct project debriefs and recommend process improvements
Serve as project owner for the Annual Members Meeting
Lead the organization-wide Way of Working initiative focused on process improvement, project management standardization, and responsible use of AI-enabled tools
Manage discovery, prioritization, and delivery of process redesign, workflow automation, SOP, and system-development projects
Coordinate cross-functional workstreams with the AI Strategy Lead, divisional project managers, and department champions
Apply agile and iterative approaches through discovery, piloting, testing, and refinement
Identify bottlenecks, duplicated effort, manual work, and systemic inefficiencies, translating findings into improvement initiatives
Support governance structures for processes and tools, including documentation, ownership, approvals, mission alignment, and ethical AI principles
Ensure improvement projects have defined scope, sequence, resources, dependencies, and change-impact considerations
Support adoption, training, and integration of new processes
Track project progress, risks, outcomes, adoption, and emerging issues for leadership reporting
Define strategic-plan tactics and assign them to sponsors and champions
Ensure strategies remain relevant and objectives are measured
Report progress and due dates to the ELT
Complete training, development, and administrative tasks

Requirements

What you’ll need

Vibrant faith evident through character reflecting Christ
Deep appreciation for God’s Word and passion for sharing the gospel
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional command of English, including grammar, punctuation, and spelling
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, cross-departmental team
Ability to support many projects simultaneously while maintaining excellence
Bachelor’s degree
3+ years of project management experience
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Apple products, including Google Drive, Microsoft Word, and Excel
Strong organizational and coordination skills with experience managing and coordinating detail
Experience working in a nonprofit, charitable organization, or church is an asset
Experience with Blackbaud and Raisers Edge products is an asset
Experience working with or in churches and denominations is an asset
