About the role
- Own and drive production system stability, respond to incidents, and improve reliability across critical services
- Design, build, and maintain automation tooling to support internal teams and streamline cross-team workflows
- Partner closely with engineering, QA, and services to scale DevOps maturity and accelerate delivery
- Lead efforts to improve system monitoring, alerting, and recovery processes for high uptime and resilience
- Mentor teammates, champion best practices, and contribute to onboarding, retrospectives, and training
- Experiment with new tools, processes, and metrics to continuously advance DevOps excellence organization wide
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on DevOps experience
- Ownership of production systems, automation, and reliability in complex environments
- Production operations, incident management, and reliability engineering for complex distributed systems
- Strong proficiency in automation scripting (such as Python, Bash, or similar) and modern CI/CD pipelines
- Hands-on background with major cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or GCP) and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, etc.)
- Proven expertise with monitoring, alerting, and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, or similar)
- Demonstrated ability to mentor others, standardize processes, and drive adoption of best practices across teams
- Strong collaborator, comfortable working cross-functionally with engineering, QA, and services
- Familiarity with DevOps metrics and frameworks (e.g., DORA metrics, SRE practices)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience; advanced degree or certifications in DevOps or Cloud are a plus
