About the role
- Leverage technical expertise to modernize and optimize infrastructure and deployment processes
- Monitor systems performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability
- Design an automation framework to perform rolling releases within hours of QA approval
- Take over and standardize automation for creating ephemeral testing servers for internal and external customers
- Review deployment strategy and create plan to standardize configuration management in a single repository
- Guide and mentor DevOps engineers on infrastructure-as-code strategy
- Reduce MTTR to less than 1 hour for deployment-related incidents
- Automate 90% of repetitive manual work to free team for higher-value tasks
- Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to drive continuous delivery and improve efficiency
Requirements
- 2+ years managing a team of DevOps engineers
- 5+ years experience as a DevOps engineer or similar work
- 2+ years experience with Ansible
- Strong CI/CD automation background, preferably with Gitlab, Ansible, and Terraform
- Experience implementing centralized configuration management
- KPI driven, utilizing metrics to help tell a story when making decisions
- Mentor attitude, willing to roll up your sleeves and work alongside your team
- Familiarity with DORA metrics and implementing them from scratch
- Comfortable bridging the gap between engineering and infrastructure teams
- Experience with GitLab, Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD best practices
