About the role
- Design, build, and maintain native iPhone and iPad applications using Swift
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to create mobile experiences
- Work on projects involving mapping technologies and spatial tools built into iOS apps
- Specialize in Apple’s native technologies such as UIKit, MapKit, SwiftUI, and CoreLocation
- Integrate apps with third-party modules, libraries, and partner services
- Scope, develop, and deploy both minor and major app features and enhancements
- Perform unit, UI, and integration tests and support automation suites
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and designers to deliver seamless solutions
- Optimize app performance and memory usage
- Ensure compliance with coding standards and maintain platform parity across applications
- Maintain and improve existing CI/CD pipelines
- Support occasional onsite activities such as team events, client meetings, or equipment handover
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
- At least 6 years of hands-on iOS app development experience
- Previous experience in a startup environment; able to work independently while maintaining standards
- Strong programming skills with deep expertise in Swift
- Solid knowledge of iOS frameworks such as Core Data, MapKit, and CoreLocation
- Familiarity with design patterns like MVC or MVVM and their trade-offs
- Experience working within agile software development processes
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Growth mindset—keen to learn and share insights with the team
- Experience with geospatial and mapping technologies
- Must be based locally in the Philippines for compliance with Philippines labor laws and occasional onsite activities
