Support environmental compliance sampling and technical services aboard commercial vessels, harbor craft, and industrial waterfront facilities.
Conduct sampling and transport collected samples to the laboratory for analysis.
Coordinate with vessel crews and port agents to schedule attendances.
Adhere to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) to maintain sample integrity and prevent contamination.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associate’s degree or higher in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
1+ years of applicable experience.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds safely.
Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), sample handling, and chain-of-custody procedures.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Comfortable working aboard vessels, in industrial facilities, and in active port environments.
Willingness to travel and work flexible schedules to support vessel operations.
Experience in environmental compliance, wastewater treatment, industrial water sampling, or field services preferred.
Familiarity with vessel environmental regulations, including VGP, IMO, ballast water, or related programs preferred.
Experience performing field sampling, equipment inspections, sensor calibration, or emissions testing preferred.
Mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn new testing and inspection procedures preferred.
Previous maritime, military, Coast Guard, merchant marine, or port operations experience preferred.
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in environmental science, chemistry, engineering technology, marine transportation, or a related technical field preferred.
