About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Review, verify and approve product specifications, artwork, pack copy and labelling against current and emerging UK and EU legislation.
  • Provide expert regulatory advice and guidance to clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders on consumer product compliance requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, design agencies and other key stakeholders.
  • Monitor regulatory developments, industry trends and codes of practice, ensuring accurate and up-to-date advice is delivered.
  • Support continuous improvement through the development of compliance processes, technical checklists, training materials and best practice guidance.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree qualified in a relevant discipline, or equivalent practical experience with a minimum of 5 years in a regulatory affairs or product quality role
  • Strong knowledge of UK and EU consumer product legislation, labelling requirements and industry codes of practice
  • Excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to advise and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Desirable Experience
  • Experience working with major retailers, manufacturers or consumer product brands.
  • Knowledge of regulatory software, compliance management systems or digital compliance tools.
  • Experience supporting process improvement, quality systems or change management initiatives.
  • Professional qualifications in regulatory affairs, quality assurance or related disciplines.
