About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own new client acquisition for specialized and complex clinical studies within the cosmetics, personal care, and hygiene markets, with clear accountability for client revenue growth
- Prospect, engage, and build senior-level relationships with R&D, clinical, regulatory, and innovation leaders at target accounts
- Lead consultative, insight-driven sales cycles for bespoke clinical programs, collaborating with scientific and operational stakeholders to shape study design, scope, and value proposition
- Identify and convert white-space opportunities by aligning sponsor innovation pipelines and development roadmaps with SGS clinical capabilities
- Manage opportunity qualification, proposal strategy, pricing discussions, and commercial negotiations, including master service agreements and complex study contracts
- Provide structured market intelligence to leadership on emerging clinical trends, claim substantiation requirements, and evolving study methodologies that inform future service development
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- 7+ years of business development or sales experience with a demonstrated track record of closing new business
- Proven success selling highly specialized, technical, or bespoke products or services through consultative, multi-stakeholder sales processes
- Experience engaging senior decision-makers and navigating complex, solution-based sales cycles
