About the role
- Design, implementation and continuous development of procurement and category management strategies for laboratory operations across one or more defined categories
- Responsibility for the commercial performance of the assigned supplier portfolio, including cost analyses, benchmarking, reporting and sustainable realization of savings potential
- Development and execution of negotiation, risk and process optimisation strategies to increase efficiency, profitability and supply security
- Close, professional collaboration with internal stakeholders as well as selection, development and management of capable and trusted suppliers
Requirements
- Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in procurement of laboratory supplies
- Strong analytical and strategic skills with a pronounced numerical aptitude and very good knowledge of data analysis tools (especially Microsoft Excel)
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills and a proven ability to build sustainable relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Very good German skills (C1 level) and good English skills (B2 level)
