About the role

  • Conceptualize, implement and continuously develop procurement and category management strategies for laboratory operations in one or more defined categories
  • Take responsibility for the commercial performance of the assigned supplier portfolio, including cost analyses, benchmarking, reporting and the sustainable securing of savings potential
  • Develop and implement negotiation, risk and process optimization strategies to increase efficiency, profitability and supply security
  • Work closely and professionally with internal stakeholders and select, develop and manage high-performing, trusted suppliers

Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration or equivalent
  • Several years of experience in purchasing laboratory supplies
  • Strong analytical and strategic skills with a pronounced affinity for numbers and very good knowledge of data analysis tools (particularly Microsoft Excel)
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills and a strong ability to build sustainable relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Very good German skills (C1) and good English skills (B2)
