About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Operate, load, unload, set up, and monitor process machines according to parameters and takt times
  • Monitor the production area and follow safety procedures, including PPE compliance and adherence to SDS and site safety rules
  • Inspect products throughout the build process for defects according to manufacturer and customer specifications
  • Reject faulty products and report quality issues to Quality and/or the Supervisor
  • Enter production time into the Mobysis system daily
  • Identify and package products according to written work order instructions
  • Clean machines, work areas, and assigned zones daily according to Good Housekeeping Practices (GMP)
  • Perform component moves via SAP
  • Assemble packaging and shipping components
  • Prepare paperwork and SAP moves for shipment
  • Use hand tools and material-handling equipment, including fastener drivers, torque wrenches, calipers, band saws, hot presses, and other equipment
  • Perform forklift, hoist operation, floor sweeper, Rimar operation, and sewing department tasks as assigned or required by production needs
  • Participate in safety training and monitor the production floor to ensure safety protocols are followed
  • Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor or lead person

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one year of related experience
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted
  • Operational knowledge and experience using robotic or other advanced mechanical processes
  • Forklift Operator License and hazardous material handling are a plus
  • Able to be medically certified to wear a respirator and pass a respirator fit test
  • Ability to comply with safety policies and standards, including PPE requirements
  • Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills
  • Decision-making and people skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to cross-train in different areas as required
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups and share process knowledge and lessons learned
  • Ability to interpret and follow written, oral, diagrammatic, and schedule-based instructions
  • Ability to comprehend and follow verbal instructions
  • Ability to use hand tools and material-handling equipment
  • Ability to lift/move up to 10 pounds regularly, 25 pounds frequently, and 100 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to work around moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, vibration, and moderate noise
  • Must use provided protective equipment while on duty
