About the role

  • Design and implement robust, scalable architectures on Azure.
  • Manage and optimize compute, storage, and networking resources.
  • Implement security practices (IAM, policies, firewalls) and environment monitoring.
  • Ensure projects comply with industry best practices (Well-Architected Framework).
  • Work with automation and IaC (Infrastructure as Code) using tools such as Terraform, ARM, or Bicep.
  • Configure and manage container services (AKS) and serverless platforms (Azure Functions).
  • Participate in multicloud projects, integrating solutions across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
  • Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to deliver efficient solutions.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues and drive continuous infrastructure improvement.
  • Develop and implement Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) strategies to ensure high availability and resilience of workloads in Azure.
  • Plan failover and failback for production and non-production environments using services such as Azure Site Recovery.
  • Implement backup and data recovery solutions with Azure Backup, ensuring environment integrity and restore capability in case of failures.
  • Ensure resilience of AI models and services, such as Azure AI and Azure OpenAI, through replication of data and resources across regions.
  • Use automation tools to test disaster recovery plans without impacting daily operations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a cloud specialist with a focus on Azure.
  • Deep knowledge of core Azure services, including:
  • ◦ Compute: Virtual Machines (VMs), App Service, Functions, AKS.
  • ◦ Storage: Blob Storage, Disk Storage, Azure Files.
  • ◦ Networking: Virtual Networks (VNet), ExpressRoute, Load Balancer, DNS.
  • ◦ Security: Azure AD, Key Vault, Azure Policy, Network Security Groups (NSGs).
  • Experience with automation and IaC tools (Terraform or similar).
  • Familiarity with DevOps concepts and tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
  • Solid understanding of multicloud environments, with experience in at least one other cloud (AWS or Google Cloud).
  • Proven experience planning and executing Disaster Recovery strategies in cloud environments.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with Azure Site Recovery and Azure Backup.
  • Ability to design architectures that account for business continuity and high availability, including multicloud scenarios.
  • Experience with cross-region replication and failover to ensure continuity of AI services.
  • Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305) are a plus.
  • Ability to work in a team, communicate ideas clearly, and solve problems independently.
