Key responsibilities & impact

Design and build backend services in Golang that integrate with payment processors and gateways
Own critical money-movement flows end to end: authorization, capture, settlement, refunds, reconciliation, and chargeback/dispute handling
Operate within PCI DSS scope
Instrument and monitor payment health
Mentor engineers and help raise the bar across the team.

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years of experience in backend or full-stack engineering
Strong Go (preferred), or comparable experience in Python
Hands-on experience integrating with payment processors, gateways, or acquiring systems
Experience in distributed, cloud-based architectures using patterns like transactional outboxes or queuing tools (Kafka, SQS, RabbitMQ)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience working with AI tools like Claude or equivalent large language model tools.
