About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Overall responsibility for the company-wide Software Asset Management (SAM) process across the entire software lifecycle
- Optimization and automation of the management of central license and contract inventories
- Ensuring license compliance, including monitoring usage rights, contract terms, renewal/cancellation deadlines, and audit requirements
- Close collaboration with Procurement, Legal and global IT Competence Centers on software procurement, contract drafting and deployment
- Analysis and optimization of license utilization and advising our international IT units and business departments on licensing models and best practices
- Preparation of license reconciliations, compliance reports, cost analyses and management reporting
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in IT license management / Software Asset Management (SAM)
- Proficient with SAM tools such as Snow, ServiceNow or comparable systems
- Basic knowledge of software and contract law as well as IT service management processes (ITIL is an advantage)
- Structured and analytical working style with strong attention to detail and a high sense of responsibility
- Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
