About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Advise the research and innovation departments on business and financial matters and take responsibility for budget monitoring
Plan and budget cost centers and projects within the area of responsibility
Analyze planned vs. actual variances and discuss results with cost and project managers
Prepare monthly reports and ad-hoc reports for the innovation divisions and executive management
Further develop the controlling instruments and systems in the executive innovation areas, including associated tools and KPIs
Responsible for controlling research grants and funded projects.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree in industrial engineering, business administration (preferably with a focus on controlling), or comparable qualification
Solid knowledge of financial processes, preferably gained in an industrial company
Knowledge of IFRS accounting standards, especially in connection with capitalization of development projects, is an advantage
Very good MS Office skills and knowledge of the SAP modules CO, FI and BW
Strong results-oriented communication skills with diverse stakeholders and across hierarchy levels
Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken.
