Mechanical Engineer – Gear Component Development, Gear Design

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for the design of gearings and verification/calculation of SEW gearboxes (macro- and micro-geometry) and taking on partial project leadership for selected specialist topics
- Technical support for production and order engineering on gear-related issues
- Planning, execution and analysis of tests in collaboration with the internal test center, and comparison of the results with calculation outcomes
- Participation in bilateral projects with industrial partners, suppliers and research institutions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification
- Experience in experimental component testing and deriving conclusions on component strength
- Experience in the application, design and manufacture of gearings
- Ability to work in a team, independent working style, high initiative
- Business-fluent German (B2 level)
