About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage multiple low-value, medium-risk flood-mitigation schemes from concept through to completion—ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Report to the Lead Project Manager and take ownership of delivering the Flood Mitigation Programme.
Define scope and coordinate design, manage NEC contracts, engage customers, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Play a key role in reducing flood impacts across our networks and supporting those we serve.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience in flood risk, drainage, or water engineering (desirable)
Understanding of flood-mitigation techniques, surface water systems, and drainage (desirable)
Experience working within the NEC project management framework
Strong application of risk-management principles, particularly around customers and flood-affected areas
Experience working with flood-risk and civil engineering standards, building regulations, and best practice
Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams to deliver flood-mitigation outcomes
Knowledge and practical application of CDM regulations for infrastructure delivery
Experience collaborating with supply chain partners to meet milestones, H&S standards, specifications, and quality requirements
Qualifications: Degree in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, or Environmental discipline (desirable)
APM or NEC accreditation (desirable)
Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
