Operational Technician
Severn TrentOperational Technician operating and maintaining bioresources assets at Severn Trent. Involved in the sludge treatment, renewable energy generation, and production of high-quality biosolids.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Operating and maintaining bioresources assets at Anaerobic digestion sites
- Ensuring the process is continually optimized to drive performance against our performance matrix
- Treating sludge stocks produced from the Waste Water Recycling process onsite and from satellite treatment works
- Producing biogas, which is converted into energy or cleaned up and injected into the gas grid
- Recycling our biosolids quality back to agricultural land
- Ensure treatment process complies with regulatory requirements
- Seek opportunities to fine-tune and optimize the process for greater efficiency and renewable energy performance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience working with processes and a good knowledge and understanding of process systems
- Proficient in using IT systems
- Solid understanding of automation, hydraulics, and mechanics
- Experience in dealing with household customers and a real understanding of their needs
- Experience in delivering and improving customer service levels
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to implement effective solutions
