About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of PMO frameworks, processes and standards supporting waterfall delivery
Promote consistent PMO ways of working across the change community
Support the ongoing maturity of change delivery through effective use of tools and data
Produce meaningful management information and reports, turning insights into clear recommendations and actions
Facilitate governance forums and workshops, ensuring the right messages reach the right audiences at the right time
Manage and maintain PMO collaboration spaces (SharePoint and Teams)
Coach and mentor junior PMO colleagues and support knowledge sharing across the organisation
Build strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring clear, timely and effective communication
Take ownership of your personal development, aligned to the PMO competency framework

Requirements

What you’ll need

Extensive PMO experience supporting traditional waterfall methodologies
Strong knowledge of project management frameworks, assurance and maturity models
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, SharePoint and Teams, plus planning tools such as MS Project or Planner (Power BI experience is desirable)
Proven experience creating and embedding new ways of working, including training and guidance materials
The ability to analyse complex data and present insights clearly for different audiences
Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills
Degree qualification or equivalent experience
Recognised project management certification (e.g. PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM PMQ or equivalent)
