About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design technical solutions for waste network facilities
Provide inputs from optioneering through to outline design, detailed design, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover
Work on exciting new complex projects
Mentor peers and collaborate with Project Managers to define right contractual outputs
High level appraisal and optioneering of conceptual designs for wastewater infrastructure
Undertake early proactive risk management and maintaining risk registers
Discharge duties as Principal Designer in accordance with CDM regulations
Ensure Health and Safety are integrated into the lifecycle of design
Review potential delivery and operational risks and approve designs from internal or external designers

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree qualified (desirable) and showing professional commitment as a member of one of the engineering Institutions or actively working towards incorporated or chartered status
Water industry background would be great but not essential, however a civil discipline would be required
Excellent internal and external stakeholder management skills
Ability to build relationships with a diverse range of people
Forward-thinking capability of anticipating challenges and responding to change in a rapidly evolving environment
Full UK driving licence required.
