About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead and mentor your team, building capability and driving performance
Manage resources and have financial accountability for your programme of works, approving and assuring designs in accordance with our AMP8 programme
Build strong relationships with senior leaders and key stakeholders, shaping solutions that meet sponsor requirements
Champion innovation, identifying opportunities for the development and introduction of new processes and technologies
Put customers at the forefront, ensuring decisions create long‑term value and support high‑quality asset management
Act as a role model and promote positive safety leadership within the organisation

Requirements

What you’ll need

Ideally degree (or equivalent) qualified in a technical engineering or design related discipline
Experience leading multi‑disciplinary teams
Strong skills in coaching and developing talent
Experience in leading design projects in a highly regulated industry such as water, gas, Petrochem or power
Excellent internal and external stakeholder management skills
Ability to build relationships with a diverse range of people
A full UK driving licence required
Forward-thinking with the capability of anticipating challenges and responding to change
