About the role
- Analysing and developing river and flood data to provide insights on performance
- Using ESRI products such as GIS desktop or ArcGis online to develop dashboards and produce maps
- Supporting media inquiries by delivering reliable, accurate, and comprehensive data
- Sharing insights in a meaningful way to various audiences, including operational teams, communications teams, regulators, and customers
- Creating robust data packs for business communication cells
- Documenting all process and data changes, ensuring accurate compliance and assurance documentation is well maintained
- Support the River Rangers and Community Flood Officer assessing geo-locational and customer experience data
- Effectively work with key teams across the business to ensure a central hub for environmental engagement data around rivers
- Compiling reports, cleaning and analysing data from across the business and from other sources
- Supporting the development and maintenance of consistent data, with appropriate documentation such as Process Design Templates (PDTs)
- Responsible for regular data tracking, undertaking assurance checks and ensuring timely management of data or media requests
- Development of automating processes around data collection and RNAG visualisations for the business
- Supporting oversight and operational checks of the Get River Positive website and content
Requirements
- Strong understanding and knowledge of the environment, rivers, water quality, and/or waste assets, networks, or water resources
- Extensive experience with GIS is critical
- Ability to develop reports for a variety of audiences
- Advanced skills in Excel and Word, including the ability to create pivot tables and write formulas such as LOOKUPs
- Experience with Microsoft platform development and Power-BI would be advantageous
- Experienced in balancing proactive and reactive work to ensure timely delivery of data requests
- Collaborating with and influencing stakeholders effectively at all organizational levels
- Prioritising, planning, and delivering outputs to timescales
- Comfortable handling a variety of data sets at differing levels of 'tidiness'
