About the role

  • Conduct market research to identify potential Federal, State, and Local government contracting opportunities
  • Monitor procurement portals and forecasts (e.g., SAM.gov, agency forecasts, state portals) to identify upcoming opportunities
  • Build, maintain, and manage a qualified business development pipeline
  • Research agencies, customers, competitors, and incumbent contracts to support opportunity assessment
  • Assist with opportunity qualification, evaluating alignment with Seventh Dimension’s capabilities, past performance, and strategic goals
  • Track opportunities in CRM and BD tools; maintain accurate pipeline data and reporting
  • Support early-stage capture activities, including market analysis, competitive research, and customer insights
  • Coordinate with leadership, program managers, and proposal teams during pre-RFP and proposal phases
  • Assist with preparation of capability statements, opportunity summaries, and internal briefings
  • Support responses to RFIs, Sources Sought, and market surveys
  • Participate in internal BD meetings and provide pipeline updates and recommendations

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of military structure, terminology, and operational environments (through prior service, direct support, or significant exposure to the military community)
  • Ability to research and interpret government and military requirements, mission needs, and capability gaps
  • Familiarity with DoD, Federal, State, or Local government organizations and how they procure services and support
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze information, identify patterns, and qualify opportunities based on mission alignment
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to summarize complex information clearly and concisely
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills in a fast-moving, opportunity-driven environment
  • Comfortable working independently in a part-time, self-directed role with minimal supervision
  • Ability to learn and navigate government procurement tools (e.g., SAM.gov, agency forecasts, state portals)
  • Proficient with basic office and collaboration tools (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, CRM systems)
