Support the Chief Engineer and program leadership by providing systems engineering, design, integration, and technical analysis expertise across SDA missions.
Provide technical recommendation support: reviews, studies, audits, evaluations, and analyses.
Develop and contribute to system requirements and design documentation (SRDs, CDDs, CPDs, ICDs, system specs, test/acceptance documentation).
Coordinate with prime contractors, depot contractors, and support contractors to resolve system issues and deficiencies.
Support development of system integration plans, procedures, and scenarios.
Identify and help mitigate development and sustainment risks, including technology insertion and risk reduction strategies.
Produce high-quality technical documentation (reports, plans, analyses) that support decision-making at senior levels.
Apply campaign analysis and systems design approaches to evaluate mission impacts and trade-offs.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, engineering management, or related discipline.
5+ years of systems engineering experience in SDA or related space/defense missions.
Demonstrated experience in systems design, campaign analysis, and technical writing.
Proficiency with JIRA and Confluence for requirements management, task tracking, and documentation.
Strong communication skills with ability to brief senior government stakeholders.
USG Secret Clearance required.
(Desired) Master’s degree in systems engineering or related field.
(Desired) Experience with multiple SDA sensors and C2 mission systems.
(Desired) Exposure to commercial and non-traditional sensors and associated data.
(Desired) Software development experience (C++, Python, or similar) supporting mission systems or modeling/simulation.
