About the role
- Support lead BI developer and help maintain and enhance business intelligence dashboards and reports
- Support migration of legacy reports and create new, high-impact Power BI solutions
- Interface with key stakeholders and translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Design and develop advanced interactive Power BI dashboards that drive insights and support strategic decision-making
- Partner with the data engineering team to integrate Power BI with various data sources and implement data transformations
- Conduct in-depth data analysis to support business decisions, identify trends, and provide actionable insights
- Optimize Power BI dashboards for performance and usability, ensuring rapid load times and intuitive user experiences
- Create and maintain documentation for developed Power BI dashboards, data models, and processes
- Provide training and mentorship to junior developers and end-users on Power BI usage and best practices
- Collaborate with data engineering to develop and maintain ETL pipelines, ensuring data accuracy and integrity for front-end reporting in Power BI
- Work on-site in Arlington, VA approximately 2 days per week (subject to change per customer requirements)
Requirements
- Experience building dashboards and reports, business intelligence, and data analysis
- Experience with data integration, semantic and dimension modeling, and DAX programming
- Experience leveraging Microsoft power platform
- Improving data processing speed by building SQL automations
- Strong Understanding: Data warehousing concepts
- Strong Understanding: ETL/ELT processes
- Strong Understanding: Data security implementation
- Experience with AWS S3, Databricks Lakehouse, Azure Data Lake, SQL Server, Oracle databases
- Proficiency in Power BI Desktop, DAX programming, data modeling, and cloud integration
- Advanced SQL skills and experience with data querying and manipulation
- Familiarity with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView) is a plus
- Collaborate with the data engineering team to develop and maintain ETL pipelines for Power BI
- Well-developed analytical & problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- REQUIRED: MUST BE US CITIZEN FOR GOVERNEMNT CLEARANCE OR CONTRACT REQUIREMENTS
- Desired: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field
- Desired: Power BI Data Analyst Associate Certification
- Desired: Experience with programming languages such as Python or R
- Desired: Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their data services
- Desired: Good experience in end-to-end implementation of data warehouse and data marts
- Clearance Preference: Active DHS/CISA suitability - 1st priority; Any DHS badge + DoD Top Secret - 2nd choice; DoD Top Secret + willingness to obtain DHS/CISA suitability - 3rd choice
