About the role
- Build and own the testing infrastructure that ensures reliability across reports, core code, and customer data inputs
- Define and lead Setpoint’s testing strategy, establishing standards and best practices to ensure reliability across the stack
- Track and categorize issues that negatively impact customers, creating visibility and a roadmap for prevention
- Partner with engineers, product managers, and support teams to catch errors early and drive fixes
- Stress-test business logic and reporting to account for customer data permutations and edge cases
- Lay the foundation for a future “Go-Fast Team” dedicated to high-impact reliability improvements
Requirements
- 5+ years in software engineering with deep testing experience
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with modern testing frameworks
- Familiarity with modern front-end driven testing practices to ensure reliability across the entire stack
- Ability to design and implement testing environments from scratch
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Ownership mentality with a proactive, detail-oriented approach
- Experience at fast-scaling technology companies
