About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Ensure continuous system operation and reliability in satellite operations
Monitor system health and proactively address any potential issues
Manage continuous deployment of software with a focus on minimizing operational risks
Provide support for Software L1 to end-users and troubleshoot operational issues
Restore nominal operations and document software changes
Configure computing infrastructure at operation centers
Develop and maintain scripts for automation and monitoring in both Linux and Windows
Lead project work schedules and anticipate/avoid problems
Implement and enforce IT Security measures to safeguard system integrity
Provide on-call support for 24/7 satellite control environment

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
At least 10 years of software and systems engineering experience
Understanding and administrating of Linux/Windows systems
Experience in networking and TCP/IP
Experience with system health monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana)
Mastery of technologies for containerization and orchestration like Docker and Kubernetes
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python)
Mastery of common software tools such as Git and/or Azure DevOps
Experience in object-oriented programming languages (e.g., C#, C++, Java)
Practical experience with database systems (e.g., MySQL, ORACLE, MongoDB)
Fluency in spoken and written English with additional languages considered an asset.
