About the role
- Identify, propose, and lead design projects across platform (desktop, tablet, mobile)
- Drive transformation using design as a strategic tool to refine product strategy decisions
- Operate in uncertain terrain and guide team's existing knowledge and talent
- Manage interplay between business requirements, customer needs, and innovative design concepts
- Independently lead projects and gain trust and support of others
- Mentor fellow designers and provide feedback to strengthen the team
- Work closely with Product owners and developers to create interfaces meeting user story requirements
- Quickly prototype solutions and create/sell North Star Projects
- Understand users through research and lead product design to drive measurable outcomes
- Validate product ideas through experimental design and research
- Innovate and establish replicable patterns and systems for interaction
- Collaborate with design organization and R&D leadership to execute design strategy
- Champion new design, innovation and interactive trends
- Collaborate across organizational structure to focus on key customer journeys
- Uphold exceptional craftsmanship in Product Design across organization
Requirements
- Experience designing a modern Saas or enterprise platform or one comparable
- Demonstrated portfolio of shipping amazing customer experiences that have made a significant impact on business and customer metrics
- Exceptional interaction and visual design skills
- Deep organization and execution capabilities, especially in areas of influence and collaboration with multiple stakeholder groups
- A passion for solving core product problems while balancing strategy and research, information architecture, and interaction design
- Experience collaborating with other designers to build a cohesive product
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills; ability to help team and stakeholders understand the “why” behind your design rationale
- Proven ability to hold conversations on design with executives and external industry leaders
- Experience in design thinking methodologies to lead teams toward customer centered outcomes
