About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform desktop and field appraisal assignments according to client requirements
  • Provide appraisal reports consistent with client-driven turn times and high-quality standards
  • Provide quality review appraisals and handle quality control escalations
  • Perform quality control reviews on complex valuation reports
  • Troubleshoot, discuss, and independently resolve complex quality control escalations with field appraisers and lender clients
  • Assist on valuation projects

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Certified Residential/General Appraiser designation
  • High School Diploma/GED required; College degree preferred
  • Certified real estate appraiser in Michigan; only Certified Residential or Certified General appraisers considered
  • No trainee or licensed appraisers permitted
  • Experience appraising a broad range of property types, including those typical of the coverage areas
  • Sufficient computer skills to develop appraisal reports and communicate effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft software products
  • Ability to work independently
  • Commitment to development of quality appraisal products
  • Interest in appraisal innovation and integrity
  • Must be located within reasonable commuting distance of Detroit/Wayne County, Michigan
  • Appraisal expertise in Detroit/Wayne County, Michigan
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
  • Must not require employment visa sponsorship now or in the future
  • M-F 8:30-5:00 availability
