Commercial Manager
Service StreamCommercial Manager providing combined commercial, legal, financial, and risk expertise at Service Stream. Focused on maximising financial returns within Utilities Division in Melbourne or Brisbane.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide a combination of commercial, legal, financial, risk, and contractual expertise to Service Stream’s Utilities Division
- Support the maximisation of financial return for the Utilities Division
- Provide commercial input to the assessment and development of new business pursuit strategies
- Review contractual instruments and apply Service Stream’s risk profile to evaluate opportunity suitability
- Coordinate and lead opportunity and risk assessments
- Model and analysis commercial frameworks
- Lead commercial negotiations and collaborate with legal teams to finalise contractual instruments
- Provide commercial input into rights and obligations handover to project delivery teams
- Facilitate structured handover of contract, subcontracts and project control tools to project delivery teams
- Support contract risk control and assurance activities through commercial reporting and audit reviews
- Champion implementation of structured commercial management practices across the Utilities Division
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 3-years’ experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of and direct exposure to tier one contractor risk and governance frameworks
- Direct exposure to broad contracting models and model contract terms
- Utilities sector knowledge
- Preparation of executive and board level reports, briefs and memorandums of advice
- Successful track record in winning complex bids
- Tertiary qualification in engineering and/or business/commerce
- Admission as a legal practitioner
