About the role
- Leading and continuously improving Serverfarm’s EHS programs across U.S. data center operations.
- Providing strategic and hands-on leadership to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive EHS programs aligned with OSHA, EPA, and state/local regulatory requirements.
- Serving as the subject matter expert for EHS across data center operations, construction projects, and vendor activities.
- Establishing KPIs, metrics, and reporting dashboards to track performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, NFPA, and applicable state and local regulations.
- Managing environmental permitting, reporting, and compliance programs (air, water, waste, hazardous materials).
- Leading regulatory inspections, audits, and agency interactions.
- Developing and maintaining EHS dashboards, reports, and management review summaries.
- Conducting hazard analyses, job safety analyses (JSAs), and risk assessments for data center operations and construction activities.
- Leading incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8–12+ years of progressive EHS experience, preferably in data centers, mission-critical facilities, construction, industrial, or energy environments.
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and environmental permitting requirements.
- Proven experience leading EHS programs across multiple sites.
- Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, CHMM, or equivalent.
- Experience supporting large-scale construction projects and contractor-heavy environments.
- Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
- Experience integrating EHS into ESG or sustainability frameworks.
