About the role
- Assisting with the design, preconstruction and construction activities on a given project(s)
- Interacting daily with Contractors, Engineers, Commissioning Agents, and Vendors
- Reviewing design documents, bid packages, and schedules to ensure conformance with contract expectations
- Identifying and ensuring implementation of standards and low-cost alternatives
- Collaborating with the procurement team to review OFCI equipment submittals for compliance
- Reviewing construction documents for completeness and constructability
- Providing design and installation support to on-site staff
- Supporting project teams in resolving design issues discovered during construction
- Working with consultants to develop and review Short Circuit, Coordination, and Arc Flash studies
- Assisting Development leadership and Project Manager with day-to-day activities
- Conducting effective pre-construction planning sessions
- Reviewing project proposals with engineering and site development teams
- Verifying that construction agrees with engineering design drawings
- Performing field observations and providing installation support as part of the quality assurance process
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously
Requirements
- 7+ years’ experience in construction management, design, design management, or relevant field
- 5+ years’ experience with data center design and/or construction projects
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Experience with electrical engineering systems and their integration into mission-critical environments.
