Content Server Training Specialist

Database Administrator

• Maintain, back up, and restore SQL SharePoint databases to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Monitor server health and troubleshoot issues at the server and database level.
• Optimize performance, storage, and security of databases, including regular checks and disaster recovery tests.
• Collaborate with application developers and system administrators for integrated operations.
• Utilize tools like Azure Portal, Power BI Report Server, SSMS, Splunk, and TSQL for managing and monitoring databases at a server level.
• Support database security compliance and address findings related to database impacts.
• Monitor disk and server usage, handle failover processes, and manage permissions.
• Support monthly SharePoint database patching activities including database stability checks.
• Perform database backup/restore of SQL SharePoint content databases to align with operations and maintenance processes.
• Provide server level troubleshooting of databases and monitoring of database health including disk usage, server usage, storage.
• Create basic T-SQL scripting to change parameters and tune queries.
• Maintain database schemas, stored procedures, indexes, and triggers; document procedures, incidents, and changes.
