About the role

  • Supervise general and subsidiary accounting (accounts receivable, accounts payable and collections)
  • Prepare and monitor period-end and year-end closings, annual financial statements and tax filings
  • Prepare budgets and forecasts and assist in preparing consolidated financial statements
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors, credit insurers and accounting software vendors
  • Lead, motivate and train the accounting team
  • Improve and modernize the accounting department (IT tools, processes, digitalization, implementation of e-invoicing, etc.)
  • Ensure compliance with accounting legislation and tax filings; anticipate and manage accounting and tax developments.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree (Bac+3) in Accounting or Management; Master's degree (Bac+5) preferred
  • Proven professional experience, including team leadership
  • Experience deploying accounting IT systems
  • Strong ability to document processes and procedures
  • Proficiency with office IT tools is essential (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Ideally experienced with commercial management/ERP software on IBM i (AS/400)
  • Team-oriented, rigorous, proactive and dynamic, committed, with good interpersonal skills and able to propose improvements.
