About the role
- Plan, budget, oversee and document all aspects of assigned projects.
- Independently perform a variety of complicated tasks with creativity and latitude.
- Develop and manage project plans; document risks, issues, and contingency plans.
- Oversee development of SDLC artifacts and ensure business requirements translate into technical specifications.
- Guide and facilitate the SDLC process and track development progress.
- Lead feature-driven sprints and ensure project assignments align with timelines.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with project sponsors and stakeholders; present weekly status updates.
- Summarize and escalate issues appropriately; conduct regular project team meetings.
- Manage multi-million-dollar software and IT project delivery across large organizations.
- Work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment; provide concise reports and problem resolution.
Requirements
- 8 or more years of experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required and should be noted on the resume. Proof of certification may be requested.
- Certification in Project Management by a recognized project management organization or Scrum Master a plus.
- Skilled in managing project with implementations across large organizations; experience developing and managing project plans, documenting risks, issues, and contingency plans.
- Ability to research, gather, assemble, correlate, and analyze facts; to devise solutions to problems; and to prepare concise reports and/or to analyze and solve complex and difficult problems.
- Experience overseeing the development of SDLC artifacts; ensure business requirements get translated into technical specifications; guide and facilitate the SDLC process.
- Experience developing and maintaining strong relationships with multiple project sponsors and stakeholders.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to appropriately summarize and escalate issues; develop and present weekly status updates; conduct regular project team meetings.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Agile methodology experience, overseeing and tracking development progress, and ensuring project assignments align with project timelines.
- Agile experience managing projects with feature-driven sprints.
- Experience leading and driving multi-million-dollar software and IT projects.
- Experience implementing and using agile methodologies and best practices for one or more State of Texas Agencies (preferred).
- Prior experience in healthcare or Public Health (preferred).
- Location: Austin, TX; Hybrid; 12 Month contract.
