About the role

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance classic ASP and ASP.NET web applications.
  • Architect and optimize database schemas; write and troubleshoot complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
  • Work with Entity Framework, SSRS, and SSIS packages.
  • Build and maintain Web APIs using .NET Core following RESTful principles.
  • Utilize technologies including C#, Visual Studio, SQL Server (SSMS), TypeScript, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap.
  • Modify legacy applications to meet 504 ADA compliance standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues and bugs in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Apply DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and work within Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Migrate legacy web applications to modern, compatible frameworks.
  • Provide production support and proactively engage stakeholders to clarify issues and present solutions.

Requirements

  • 25+ years hands-on software development experience, evolving from legacy platforms to modern technologies
  • Experience with legacy ASP and ASP.NET web applications (please list project names)
  • Experience with SQL Server, database design, Entity Framework, schema design, stored procedures, SSRS
  • Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, TypeScript, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap
  • Strong knowledge of unit testing frameworks and tools
  • Experience making web pages ADA 504 Compliant
  • Prior experience working with Texas Education Agency across several projects (please list projects)
  • Experience with C#, Visual Studio, SQL Server (SSMS)
  • Experience building Web APIs using .NET Core and RESTful principles
  • Experience with SSIS packages
  • Familiarity with ArcGIS (preferred)
  • Experience applying DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Strong communication, ownership, multitasking, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to migrate legacy web applications to modern, compatible frameworks
  • Proven production support and troubleshooting under tight deadlines
