Regional Director – Ruhr-Westfalen

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Full P&L responsibility for the assigned region
- Achieve and exceed budget, revenue and market share targets
- Analyze monthly financial statements and derive corrective actions
- Manage cash flow forecasts and resource allocation across all legal entities
- Initiate synergy and cost-reduction projects without impacting service or quality
- Prepare budget proposals and performance dashboards for senior management
- Monitor and ensure operational efficiency across all funeral homes in the region
- Conduct regular review meetings with local operators and team leaders
- Analyze KPIs and proactively derive improvement measures
- Implement technology solutions to optimize workflows
- Promote best-practice sharing between locations
- Business development: organic growth and M&A
- Manage the integration process following acquisitions (personnel, real estate, processes)
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 5 years of leadership experience in a customer-facing, multi-site organization—ideally in a sensitive environment (funeral services, healthcare, long-term care, hospitality, retail)
- Proven experience concurrently managing multiple locations and projects
- Strong commercial acumen: P&L responsibility, budget control, financial analysis
- Experience working with local authorities, social institutions and external partners
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or a related field preferred; commercial apprenticeship with relevant experience also welcome
- Excellent German language skills; additional language skills an advantage
- Proficient user of Microsoft 365, Google Suite and cloud-based solutions
