About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create and maintain operating, installation, commissioning, and maintenance manuals for robotic systems.
- Produce safety and compliance documentation (e.g. CE marking, instructions for use) in line with relevant standards and directives.
- Translate complex technical concepts into structured, user-friendly content for diverse audiences (operators, integrators, developers).
- Build and maintain documentation standards: templates, style guides, terminology, and version control.
- Create supporting visuals such as diagrams, exploded views, screenshots, and step-by-step illustrations.
- Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, software, and product teams to gather information and keep content accurate and up to date.
- Manage documentation workflows, reviews, and (where needed) localization and translation.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of experience in technical documentation, ideally in robotics, automation, machinery, or hardware/software products.
- Experience documenting both hardware and software products is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with safety and compliance documentation (e.g. Machinery Directive, IEC/IEEE 82079) is a plus.
- Excellent writing and editing skills in English; German is a strong plus.
- Proficiency with documentation and authoring tools.
- Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and explain them clearly and precisely.
- Strong sense of structure, consistency, and attention to detail.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to extract information from busy engineers.
